Fierce Gun Battles Rock The Capital
For those that don’t know where I stand on this, I have long advocated action against these clerics for thinking that they can take the law into their own hands. They have kidnapped police officers & Chinese nationals, private citizens to force them to renounce “suspected” behaviors, tormented shop keepers in their locality for selling CDs and DVDs, threatening barbers in Islamabad not to shave anyone’s beards as it is “un-Islamic” to shave and will be met with strict justice; and today alone have committed vandalism on a government building and set it on fire room to room, thrown petrol bombs on police and security officials, and destroyed walls and sidewalks to get more bricks to throw at the security forces.
Where in Islam does it say that this behavior is acceptable?
And I won’t even touch the fact that they are holding thousands of women and children hostage to serve as a human shield, while their families have stood outside begging for their kids to be released.
Or the mass stores of weapons that these supposed “students of Islam” have at their disposal.
Nor will I get into the regular threats of “Jihad” and suicide bomb attacks against the government by the “administration” of the mosque.
What happened today in Islamabad has been a long time coming, as this whole comedy started 6 months ago.
